The ACCUPRO 75515882 is a DNMG-style indexable carbide turning insert engineered for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to ANSI code DNMG332 and ISO code DNMG110408, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a PVD coating applied over a carbide substrate in manufacturer grade ACM25P. The IPK+ chip breaker geometry controls chip flow across a range of cutting conditions. With a corner radius of 0.0315 inches (0.80 mm) and a maximum depth of cut of 0.1654 inches (4.20 mm), it is suited for finishing to medium roughing passes where consistent edge life is required.
This insert is intended for machining steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), and special or super alloys (ISO S). The ACM25P grade delivers high wear resistance at the P end of the application range and transitions to moderate wear resistance with increased toughness for M and S workpiece materials. Typical install scenarios include production turning cells, job shop CNC lathes, and toolroom operations where a single insert grade needs to span multiple material families. The negative side clearance (clearance code N) and tolerance code M are standard for rigid, high-feed toolholders.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for DNMG toolholders accepting ISO size code 110408 inserts with a negative side clearance and tolerance code M seating. Confirm toolholder pocket specifications before ordering.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench or insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening clamp screws or lever-lock mechanisms - never use impact tools on insert clamping hardware. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert, as a damaged pocket will compromise edge integrity and dimensional accuracy.
