The ACCUPRO 75511618 is a CCMT432 style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Featuring a CVD coating and an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, it delivers high wear resistance across a range of cutting conditions. The neutral hand orientation and positive side clearance support clean chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes. With a corner radius of 0.0315 inches (0.80 mm) and a maximum depth of cut of 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm), this insert suits finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It is held in place by a screw-lock method and is compatible with standard CCMT-style toolholders.
This insert is suited for turning operations on steel (P-class) and stainless steel (M-class) materials where high wear resistance to moderate toughness is required. The ACM20P grade and WM+ chip breaker geometry make it a practical choice for production environments running both continuous and mildly interrupted cuts. It applies across general-purpose turning, facing, and contouring operations on CNC equipment in job shops and production machining environments.
Designed for use in screw-lock CCMT-style turning toolholders conforming to ANSI code CCMT432 and ISO code CCMT120408. Suitable for P-class (steel) and M-class (stainless steel) workpiece materials per ISO turning insert classification standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is indexed to a safe position before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
