The ACCUPRO 75475822 is a TNMG332 triangular carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries the ISO designation TNMG160408 and is manufactured in grade ACP25M with a CVD coating for extended wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a neutral hand orientation, a WM+ chip breaker geometry, and six usable cutting edges, delivering consistent performance per edge and lower cost per part. Corner radius measures 0.0315 inches (0.80 mm) and maximum depth of cut reaches 0.1575 inches (4.00 mm).
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron in production machining environments. The ACP25M grade spans high wear-resistance through high toughness for steel (P-code), and high wear-resistance through moderate wear-resistance and toughness for stainless steel (M-code) and cast iron (K-code). It fits toolholders accepting TNMG-style inserts with negative side clearance and is appropriate for light to medium roughing and semi-finishing passes. Machinists in job shops and production facilities running ferrous materials will find this insert a reliable choice for general-purpose turning work.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for TNMG332 (ISO: TNMG160408) style toolholders accepting negative-rake triangular inserts with a hole diameter of 0.1512 inches and an inscribed circle of 0.3752 inches. Compatible holding methods include clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw styles.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and at a complete stop. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat and secure the insert without overtightening. Inspect the toolholder pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Verify depth-of-cut and feed-rate parameters against the grade characteristics before resuming cuts.
