The ACCUPRO 75392399 is a DNGP-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI insert code DNGP431 and ISO insert code DNGP150404. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.40 mm (0.0157 inch) corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation, making it suitable for both right- and left-hand toolholders. Manufactured in the ACM20K grade with a PVD coating and EXK+ chip breaker geometry, it delivers high wear resistance with moderate toughness across a range of turning applications. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert when working stainless steel and cast iron workpieces.
This insert is rated for primary workpiece material codes M (stainless steel) and K (cast iron), covering applications from finishing to semi-finishing passes. The ACM20K grade characteristics target high-to-moderate wear resistance and toughness in both material groups, making it a practical choice for job shops and production environments running stainless components or gray and ductile iron parts. Maximum depth of cut is 2.50 mm (0.0984 inches). The insert is compatible with clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw holding methods, providing flexibility across common toolholder systems.
Designed for use in DNGP-style toolholders accepting a 0.5000-inch (12.70 mm) inscribed circle insert with a 0.2043-inch hole diameter and negative clearance geometry. Conforms to ANSI standard code DNGP431 and ISO standard code DNGP150404.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always index or replace inserts with the machine fully stopped and the spindle locked. Seat the insert firmly against the toolholder pocket before tightening the clamping mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specified method. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating to avoid cracking the carbide substrate.
