The ACCUPRO 75368167 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI code CCMT21.52 and ISO code CCMT060208, making it a standard cataloged geometry for easy cross-referencing. The insert is manufactured from CVD-coated carbide in grade ACP25M, a coating chosen to deliver high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides two cutting edges per insert with a neutral hand orientation, and the 0.80 mm corner radius suits medium-finish to semi-roughing passes. Screw-holding secures the insert in compatible toolholders with positive side clearance geometry.
This insert is suited for production turning environments where consistent tool life across multiple workpiece materials is required. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports chip control during turning of steel and stainless steel at moderate to high cutting speeds. Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and contour turning on CNC turning centers and engine lathes in job shop and production settings. The ACP25M grade spans ISO material groups P, M, and K, covering carbon steels, stainless grades, and gray or nodular cast iron. Licensed machinists, CNC operators, and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
Designed for use in CCMT21.52 or CCMT060208 compatible screw-clamp turning toolholders with positive-rake insert pockets. Verify toolholder pocket geometry, clearance code C, and tolerance code M before installation.
Installation is performed by CNC operators or machinist-level personnel following standard indexable insert exchange procedures. Power down or engage the machine E-stop and allow the spindle to come to a complete stop before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure when securing the clamping screw; do not overtighten. Handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during installation.
