The ACCUPRO 75366963 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured to ANSI code DCMT32.51 and ISO code DCMT11T304, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and a neutral hand orientation. The PVD coating and ACM35P grade deliver moderate wear resistance with high toughness, making this insert well-suited for steel and stainless steel workpiece materials. The chip breaker designation is WM+, supporting a wide range of cutting conditions from moderate finishing to general turning. With a 0.40 mm corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 3.00 mm, it holds tight tolerances in demanding production environments.
This insert is intended for use in general machining shops, job shops, and production turning cells where steel (P-class) and stainless steel (M-class) are the primary workpiece materials. It mounts via screw-type insert holding method and is appropriate for applications requiring balanced wear resistance and toughness. The ACM35P grade and WM+ chip breaker combination suits interrupted and continuous turning cuts on medium to hard steel alloys and austenitic stainless. Machinists and CNC programmers working with DCMT-compatible toolholders will find this insert suitable for roughing to semi-finish passes within the specified depth-of-cut range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for DCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting ANSI DCMT32.51 or ISO DCMT11T304 inserts. Primary workpiece material codes are P (steel) and M (stainless steel).
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Power down and deactivate the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure before resuming cutting operations. Inspect the insert pocket and locating surfaces for chips or debris prior to seating to ensure proper insert indexing and avoid premature edge failure.
