The ACCUPRO 75358887 is a CNMG-style indexable turning insert designed for use in CNC and manual lathe applications. Built from carbide with a CVD coating, this insert carries manufacturer grade ACP25M and is engineered to deliver high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides two usable edges per face for a total of four cutting edges per insert. The corner radius measures 0.0630 inches (1.60 mm) and the maximum depth of cut is 0.3150 inches (8.00 mm). The 909+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation in production turning environments.
This insert is suited for medium to finishing turning passes on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpieces. It is appropriate for both roughing-to-finishing transitions where wear resistance and edge toughness are required simultaneously. The neutral hand designation means it can be mounted in standard CNMG toolholders without a handed orientation requirement. Machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production settings will find this insert effective for general-purpose external and internal turning where consistent surface finish and tool life are priorities.
Designed to fit standard CNMG toolholders that accept CNMG 544 (ANSI) or CNMG160616 (ISO) inserts with clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods. Confirm toolholder pocket geometry and insert seating requirements before installation.
Indexable turning inserts should be installed and indexed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications. Always bring the spindle to a full stop and follow lockout/tagout procedures before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamping hardware for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Verify that cutting parameters including feed rate and depth of cut fall within the insert grade recommendations for the workpiece material.
