The ACCUPRO 75358796 is a DCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from CVD-coated carbide in the ACP15K grade, it delivers high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a 0.0157-inch corner radius, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and consistent surface finish are required. It is held in place by a screw-clamp toolholder and offers two usable cutting edges per insert.
This insert is intended for general turning applications across a range of material groups: steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K). Its WSF+ chip breaker geometry is designed to manage chip control across moderate to high cutting speeds. Typical applications include OD turning, facing, and light profiling on production or job-shop lathes. The neutral hand orientation allows use in standard right-hand toolholders.
Designed to fit DCMT21.51 (ANSI) and DCMT070204 (ISO) compatible screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch inscribed circle insert with a 0.1102-inch hole diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and prevent premature edge failure.
