The ACCUPRO 75357426 is a square-shaped carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured in the SCMT style with a neutral hand orientation, this insert carries a PVD coating and an ACM25P manufacturer grade, targeting high wear-resistance across steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpiece materials. The SCMT geometry provides a 90-degree included angle, a 7-degree relief angle, and a positive side clearance, which reduces cutting forces and helps extend tool life. The WM+ chip breaker geometry promotes reliable chip control across a range of feed rates and depths of cut up to 0.1181 inches.
This insert is suited for finish to semi-finish turning applications in job shops, production machining, and aerospace component work where multiple workpiece materials are encountered. The ACM25P grade with PVD coating is particularly well-matched to ISO material groups P, M, and S, covering carbon steels, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys. Four usable cutting edges per insert make it a cost-effective choice for shops running high part volumes. The screw-type holding method keeps the insert securely seated during interrupted and continuous cuts.
Designed for use in standard SCMT-style toolholders accepting ANSI insert code SCMT32.52 and ISO insert code SCMT09T308. Compatible with turning applications on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and special or super alloy (S) workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing the insert. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket before tightening the clamping screw to avoid micromovement during cutting. Inspect the insert seating pocket for chips or debris before each insert change to protect the pocket surface and maintain edge repeatability.
