The ACCUPRO 75354738 is a WNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Identified by ANSI code WNMG433 and ISO code WNMG080412, this insert features an 80-degree trigon shape with a neutral hand orientation and a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate. The ACK20P grade delivers high wear resistance on steel (P) workpieces and a range from high to moderate wear resistance with toughness on cast iron (K) applications. With six available cutting edges per insert and a WM+ chip breaker geometry, this insert is suited for machinists and toolroom technicians running medium to finish turning passes.
This insert fits toolholders designed for WNMG-style seats with a negative side clearance and M-tolerance designation. It is appropriate for production turning of steel and cast iron components in job shop, manufacturing, and maintenance machining environments. The 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch) corner radius supports general-purpose finishing and light roughing. Maximum depth of cut is 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches). The 0.5000-inch inscribed circle and 0.1874-inch insert thickness conform to standard WNMG08 pocket geometry. Installation is performed by machinists using clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods depending on the toolholder design.
Designed for use in toolholders with WNMG-style insert pockets using clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods. Primary workpiece material codes are P (steel) and K (cast iron) per ISO designation standards.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret before seating or indexing the insert. Use the correct torque driver or clamping hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new cutting edge to prevent premature edge failure or insert damage.
