It carries ANSI code WNMG433 and ISO code WNMG080412, providing a standardized reference for toolholder compatibility. The insert is manufactured from carbide substrate with a CVD coating in grade ACK10P, engineered for high wear resistance when machining steel (P) and cast iron (K) workpiece materials. With a trigon 80-degree included angle, a 0.0315-inch corner radius, and six available cutting edges, this insert delivers consistent performance and cost-effective edge utilization across medium to high-volume turning applications.
This insert is suited for production turning environments where tool life and surface finish consistency are priorities. It fits toolholders designed for WNMG-style negative-rake inserts with clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods. Typical applications include roughing and semi-finishing passes on steel alloys and cast iron components. The 909+ chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed rates and depths. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1575 inches (4.00 mm), making it appropriate for moderate material removal rates in both high-production and job-shop turning setups.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered off and in a safe, locked-out state before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new insert.
