The ACCUPRO 75337048 is a DCGT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision finishing operations on cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. It carries the ANSI code DCGT32.52 and ISO code DCGT11T308, with a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape and a 7-degree relief angle. The insert is manufactured in Grade ACN15K with a polished coating finish and an LMF+ chip breaker geometry. Neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with both left- and right-hand tool holders. It is held in place by a screw-lock method and features a positive side clearance for reduced cutting forces during light finishing passes.
This insert is suited for turning applications on cast iron workpieces requiring high wear resistance and on aluminum or non-ferrous materials where controlled chip formation is critical. The LMF+ chip breaker geometry is optimized for light-to-moderate material removal rates. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC lathes and manual engine lathes will find this insert appropriate for finish turning where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are priorities. The 0.80 mm corner radius (0.0315 inches) supports fine surface finishes with minimal vibration at low depths of cut.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for DCGT-style screw-lock tool holders conforming to ANSI code DCGT32.52 and ISO code DCGT11T308. Primary workpiece material codes K and N apply to cast iron and aluminum or non-ferrous materials respectively.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle locked before touching any tooling. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the tool holder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excess clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Confirm insert orientation and hand match the tool holder designation before resuming cuts.
