The ACCUPRO 75333054 is a CNGP-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries ANSI insert code CNGP433 and ISO insert code CNGP120412. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a PVD coating applied over a carbide substrate in the ACM20K grade. The corner radius measures 0.0472 inches (1.20 mm), and insert thickness is 0.1874 inches (4.76 mm). With four cutting edges and a negative side clearance, this insert delivers consistent tool life in high-wear and moderate-toughness applications. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible toolholders on production turning equipment.
This insert is suited for turning stainless steel (ISO material group M) and cast iron (ISO material group K), where high wear resistance balanced with toughness is required. The EXK+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation during finish and semi-finish passes. It fits into clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding systems, giving flexibility across a range of toolholder configurations. Typical applications include OD turning, facing, and light profiling on production or job-shop lathes handling stainless and cast iron components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for toolholders accepting CNGP433 (ANSI) or CNGP120412 (ISO) inserts with negative rake and screw, clamp, lever lock, or pin clamping. Confirm toolholder pocket geometry and clamping method before installation.
Turning insert replacement is performed by a machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully stopped, spindle locked, and all energy sources isolated per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use a torque wrench or insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing screw-lock inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket seat and clamping components for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Never use a damaged or worn pocket seat, as this will compromise insert seating and dimensional accuracy.
