The ACCUPRO 75331538 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from carbide substrate with a CVD coating and an ACP25M manufacturer grade, this insert delivers high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides a strong cutting geometry, while the WSF+ chip breaker promotes controlled chip evacuation at moderate to high feed rates. The insert features a positive side clearance and a neutral hand orientation, making it a versatile choice for general-purpose finishing and semi-finishing applications.
This insert is suited for use in light to moderate turning applications across a range of industrial environments including job shops, production machining, and maintenance operations. The CCMT21.51 ANSI size code and CCMT060204 ISO size code ensure broad compatibility with standard toolholders. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.0709 inches (1.80 mm) and a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (0.40 mm), this insert is configured primarily for finishing and fine semi-finishing passes on ferrous and cast iron components.
Compatible with standard CCMT21.51 (ANSI) and CCMT060204 (ISO) compliant toolholders. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for CCMT-style insert seats with a 0.2500-inch inscribed circle, 7-degree relief angle, and screw-lock holding method. Suitable for primary workpiece material codes P (steel), M (stainless steel), and K (cast iron).
Installation is performed by machining professionals following standard indexable insert toolholder procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret before seating or indexing the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque. Inspect the insert seat and chip pocket for debris before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and repeatable tool nose position.
