The ACCUPRO 75297168 is a DNMG-style indexable turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured from CVD-coated carbide in the ACP15K grade, this insert delivers high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The 55-degree diamond (D-shape) geometry with a neutral hand orientation and a 0.40 mm corner radius suits a range of finishing to moderate roughing passes. With four usable cutting edges per insert, tooling cost per edge is reduced in production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production machining, or maintenance machining are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is suited for turning steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and cast iron (K-class) in both high wear-resistance and moderate toughness cutting conditions. The WM+ chip breaker geometry is optimized for these material groups across a maximum depth of cut of 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches). The CI series designation and ACP15K grade target medium-to-high speed cutting applications where consistent surface finish and edge life are priorities. The negative side clearance and clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods make this insert compatible with standard DNMG toolholders used across most CNC turning centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for standard DNMG toolholders accepting ANSI insert code DNMG110404 or ISO insert code DNMG331. Compatible with turning applications on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpiece materials per the primary workpiece material codes stated in the product specifications.
Installation is performed by licensed machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket and confirm the clamping method is secured to the toolholder manufacturer torque specification before resuming cuts. Inspect the insert seat and toolholder pocket for chips or debris before seating a new edge.
