The ACCUPRO 75286518 is a TNMG-style indexable carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Featuring a triangular insert shape with a 60-degree included angle and a neutral hand orientation, it is manufactured in grade ACP25M with a CVD coating for extended tool life. The corner radius measures 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches), and the insert delivers up to 0.1575 inches maximum depth of cut. With 6 cutting edges per insert and a WM+ chip breaker geometry, this insert is suited for production turning applications across multiple workpiece material categories. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible TNMG toolholders.
This insert is engineered for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces, covering ISO material groups P, M, and K. The ACP25M grade with CVD coating provides high wear resistance across the P and K classifications and a balance of wear resistance and toughness for M-grade stainless steel applications. It is a practical choice for job shops and production facilities running medium to high-volume turning operations where consistent edge life and surface finish are required. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports reliable chip control across a range of feeds and depths typical in finish to semi-finish turning.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for TNMG-style indexable turning insert toolholders accepting ANSI code TNMG331 or ISO code TNMG160404 inserts with a screw, clamp, lever lock, or pin holding method.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret before indexing or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate torque driver for the insert holding method — screw, clamp, lever lock, or pin — per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert seat and toolholder pocket for chips or debris before seating the new insert to prevent improper clamping and premature edge failure.
