The ACCUPRO 75272583 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for CNC and manual lathe operations on steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a positive side clearance and a PVD coating in grade ACM25P, which delivers high wear-resistance across a range from aggressive cuts to tougher finishing passes. The insert carries a neutral hand orientation and is held in place by a screw-type clamping method. With a corner radius of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm) and a maximum depth of cut of 0.0886 inches (2.25 mm), it is suited to precision finishing and light-to-moderate roughing on turning centers and lathes.
This insert is intended for production and job-shop turning applications where tight tolerances and consistent surface finish are required. The ACM25P grade with WSF+ chip breaker geometry makes it applicable across ISO material groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), and S (special and super alloys), covering a broad range of workpiece materials common in aerospace, medical, and general machining environments. Machinists and CNC operators working with ISO DCMT toolholders will find this insert compatible with standard screw-on insert pockets in that family.
Designed for use in screw-on DCMT toolholders conforming to ANSI insert code DCMT32.505 and ISO insert code DCMT11T302. Compatible with workpiece material groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), and S (special and super alloys).
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket and tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
