The ACCUPRO 75264937 is a VCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ANSI insert code VCMT331 and ISO insert code VCMT160404, with a 35-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape and a 7-degree relief angle for positive side clearance. The insert is manufactured in grade ACM25P with a PVD coating, delivering high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. Corner radius measures 0.0315 inches (0.80 mm), and insert thickness is 0.1874 inches (4.76 mm). Screw-hole clamping is used for secure insert holding. Each package contains one insert, with a minimum order quantity of 10.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys in production and job-shop environments. The ACM25P grade with WM+ chip breaker geometry is engineered for high wear resistance on steel (P-class materials) through moderate wear resistance and toughness on stainless steel (M-class) and special or super alloys (S-class). It is used in applications where consistent chip control and edge integrity are required across varying feed and depth-of-cut conditions. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm). The neutral hand configuration allows use in both right-hand and left-hand toolholders compatible with the VCMT geometry.
Designed for use in VCMT-style toolholders accepting ANSI size code 331 or ISO size code 160404 inserts. Compatible with toolholders specified for VCMT geometry with screw clamping and positive side clearance. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, and S are supported per the ACM25P grade characteristics.
Installation is performed by the machine operator or toolroom technician setting up a CNC lathe or turning center. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque driver for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the insert or stripping the toolholder thread. Inspect the insert seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
