The ACCUPRO 75264531 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured to ANSI code DCMT32.51 and ISO code DCMT11T304, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and a CVD coating applied via chemical vapor deposition. The ACM20P grade delivers high wear-resistance to moderate toughness, making it well-suited for steel and stainless steel workpiece materials. With a corner radius of 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches) and a neutral hand orientation, this insert fits standard DCMT-compatible toolholders and is held in place by a screw-clamp method.
This insert is intended for use in steel (P) and stainless steel (M) turning applications where consistent surface finish and tool life are required. The WSF+ chip breaker geometry promotes effective chip control during continuous and interrupted cuts at moderate to high cutting speeds. Typical installation scenarios include finish and semi-finish turning on CNC turning centers and engine lathes in production and job-shop environments. The insert is sold individually per package, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for DCMT32.51 or DCMT11T304 style screw-clamp turning insert seats. Compatible with toolholders and boring bars accepting DCMT-style inserts with a screw holding method and positive clearance geometry. Consult the toolholder manufacturer for confirmed seat compatibility before installation.
This insert is installed and indexed by a machinist or toolroom technician using appropriate insert-seating tools and a torque wrench sized for the clamp screw. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surface are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the insert. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut of 0.0886 inches (2.25 mm) specified for this insert geometry.
