The ACCUPRO 75260703 is a WNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for single-point turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to ANSI code WNMG332 and ISO code WNMG060408, this insert features an 80-degree trigon shape (W) with a negative side clearance and a 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch) corner radius. The manufacturer grade ACM25P carries a PVD coating and delivers high wear-resistance through moderate toughness across a range of workpiece materials. With 6 cutting edges per insert and a neutral hand, it suits high-volume production environments where tool change frequency must be minimized. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in precision machining shops are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for finish and semi-finish turning of steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys in both job-shop and production environments. The IPK+ chip breaker geometry is engineered to manage chip formation across these material groups, making it a practical choice when operators run multiple material types on the same setup. The insert mounts via clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods, giving it broad compatibility with standard WNMG toolholders. Typical applications include external diameter turning and facing passes where controlled surface finish and consistent tool life are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for standard WNMG toolholders accepting a 0.3752 inch inscribed circle and 0.1874 inch insert thickness per ANSI WNMG332 and ISO WNMG060408 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Before indexing or replacing an insert, power down the machine, engage the e-stop, and verify the spindle is fully stopped. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamping mechanism to manufacturer specifications for the specific holder in use. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for wear or debris each time an edge is indexed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
