The ACCUPRO 75242339 is a WNMG432 indexable carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It carries the ACM20P manufacturer grade with a CVD coating, placing it in the high wear-resistance to moderate toughness range for ISO material groups P and M. The W-style trigon body features an 80-degree included angle and a negative side clearance, delivering stable cutting geometry across a wide range of lathe applications. With six cutting edges per insert, this single-sided neutral-hand insert offers extended tool life per unit. Machining professionals running production or job-shop turning operations will find this insert well suited to medium-finishing and semi-roughing passes.
This insert is intended for turning centers and manual lathes where a WNMG-style toolholder is in use. The ACM20P CVD grade is optimized for steel and stainless steel, making it a practical choice for ISO P and M material groups in both continuous and mildly interrupted cut conditions. The IPK+ chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed rates and depths of cut up to 0.1654 inches. Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician familiar with indexable insert tooling. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or wear before seating a new insert to maintain proper cutting geometry.
