The ACCUPRO 75206201 is a GO-style grooving insert designed for external and internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a cutting width of 0.0787 inches (2.000 mm) and a corner radius of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm), making it suited for precision narrow-groove applications. The insert is manufactured in grade ACP45M with a PVD coating and a positive rake geometry, which reduces cutting forces and extends tool life on a range of workpiece materials. It belongs to ACCUPRO series CI and uses a GMP chip breaker for controlled chip evacuation during interrupted and continuous cuts.
This insert is used in production turning environments where consistent groove width and surface finish are critical. It is compatible with clamp, screw, and self-grip holding methods, giving it flexibility across multiple toolholder configurations. The GO insert style with a lead angle of 0.000 degrees is standard in both high-volume and job-shop turning cells. Multi-use designation means the insert can be repositioned to use additional cutting edges before disposal, reducing per-part tooling cost. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing shops are the primary users.
Designed for use with ACCUPRO series CI grooving toolholders that accept GO-style inserts with size code 24. Compatible holding methods include clamp, screw, and self-grip systems.
This insert is installed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing any insert. Ensure the toolholder pocket and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before installation, as debris under the insert seat affects cutting geometry and can cause premature edge failure. Verify the insert is fully seated and the clamping mechanism is engaged to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before resuming operation.
