The ACCUPRO 75203737 is a GO-style grooving insert engineered for precision external and internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a cutting width of 0.0787 inches (2.000 mm) and a corner radius of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm), making it suited for tight-tolerance groove profiles. The insert is manufactured to grade ACP45M and features a PVD coating applied over a positive rake geometry. The CI series designation and GUT chip breaker design promote controlled chip evacuation during interrupted and continuous cuts. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials will find this insert compatible with standard GO-style toolholders.
This insert is intended for grooving applications in production turning environments, including part-off prep, undercut forming, and groove finishing on shafts, pins, and similar cylindrical components. The positive rake angle reduces cutting forces, which is beneficial when machining thin-walled workpieces or when machine spindle rigidity is limited. The GUT chip breaker geometry assists with chip control across a range of feed rates and depths. The insert supports clamp, screw, and self-grip holding methods, giving it flexibility across multiple toolholder configurations commonly found in job shop and production settings.
Designed for use with GO-style grooving toolholders accepting size code 24 inserts within the ACCUPRO CI series system.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the toolholder secured in the turret. Verify the insert pocket is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the 75203737 to ensure proper contact and repeatability. Use the appropriate torque tool for screw-lock holders per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edge and corner radius before each run to confirm the insert is within serviceable condition.
