The ACCUPRO 746350 is an HSK63A shrink-fit tool holder adapter designed for precision CNC machining applications. It accepts a 3/8-inch tool shank via thermal shrink-fit clamping, delivering high runout accuracy and rigid tool retention at elevated spindle speeds. The HSK63A taper interface provides dual-contact clamping between the spindle face and taper, contributing to repeatability and stiffness under cutting loads. With a balanced-to speed rating of 30,000 RPM and built-in through-coolant capability, this holder suits high-speed milling and drilling operations where chip evacuation and thermal management are critical. It is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians.
This tool holder is suited for high-speed machining centers equipped with HSK63A spindle interfaces, including both horizontal and vertical CNC milling platforms. The 3/8-inch bore accommodates standard shank end mills, drills, and reamers used in production and precision job-shop environments. The 3.35-inch overall length and 3.35-inch projection allow clearance in typical multi-axis setups. The 1.65-inch clamping depth ensures secure grip on standard-length tool shanks. Through-coolant delivery makes this holder well-suited for deep-hole drilling and high-feed milling where directed coolant flow reduces tool wear and improves chip removal.
Designed as an OEM-style shrink-fit tool holder for CNC machining centers with an HSK63A spindle interface accepting 3/8-inch shank cutting tools.
Shrink-fit tool holders require an induction heating unit to thermally expand the bore before inserting or removing the tool shank — never attempt to force a shank into or out of the bore cold. Allow the holder to cool fully and reach ambient temperature before mounting in the spindle or measuring runout. Inspect the HSK63A taper and spindle interface for contamination or damage before each installation, as debris will compromise clamping accuracy. This work is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel following machine-tool manufacturer guidelines.
