The ACCUPRO 72092067 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 0.6250-inch (15.88 mm) diameter, 6 flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating, it delivers heat resistance and tool life in high-temp alloy applications. The 0.0300-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at the corner. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts. This tool is single-end, right-hand cutting, and centercutting, making it suitable for plunging, slotting, and profiling operations. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, power generation, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is engineered for primary use in high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome. The 2-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length make it well suited for medium-depth pocketing and peripheral milling on CNC machining centers. The AlTiN+ coating maintains hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, which is critical when machining heat-resistant materials that work-harden quickly. The 5/8-inch shank fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in production shops.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard 5/8-inch toolholding systems. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (code S). No specific machine model compatibility was provided in the product data.
This tool is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling, particularly in hard materials.
