The ACCUPRO 72084767 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 0.5000 inch mill diameter, six flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating, this tool is built for aggressive material removal in high-temp alloys and other hard-to-machine workpiece materials. It features a variable helix and variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. The 0.0150 inch corner radius adds edge strength and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. Machinists and CNC operators in aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing rely on tools like this for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge integrity matters.
This end mill is suited for milling high-temperature alloys, including nickel-based and titanium alloys commonly found in aerospace and power generation components. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The 4.0000 inch overall length and 0.5000 inch shank diameter fit standard ER and straight-bore toolholders commonly used in production machining environments. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry where required by the application.
Designed for use in high-temp alloy (material code S) milling applications on CNC machining centers accepting a 0.5000 inch shank diameter. Part of the ACCUPRO HS series for high-performance alloy machining.
This tool is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician into a compatible toolholder with a 0.5000 inch bore. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool release mechanism safely engaged before changing tooling. Confirm runout at the toolholder before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on variable-helix geometry tools. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and clamping torque appropriate to the toolholder type in use.
