The ACCUPRO 72083538 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 1/2-inch mill diameter, 6-flute geometry, and a 0.010-inch corner radius, this tool delivers controlled edge engagement and improved surface finish in tight-tolerance applications. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, making it well-suited for cutting high-temperature alloys. Variable index and variable helix flute geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts. Overall length is 3.0 inches with a 1.25-inch length of cut. This tool is used by machinists and toolmakers in CNC machining environments.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers where workpiece materials include high-temperature alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine metals. The variable helix and variable index design support stable cutting at elevated feed rates and depths of cut typical in aerospace, defense, and energy component machining. The 1/2-inch shank diameter allows direct mounting in standard ER or end mill holders. Centercutting capability supports both plunge and ramping entry strategies.
Designed for use in CNC end mill holders with a 1/2-inch bore. Optimized for machining high-temperature alloys (material code S) including nickel-based superalloys and titanium. Part of the ACCUPRO HS series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque the retention mechanism to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines when programming feeds, speeds, and depths of cut for high-temp alloy materials.
