The ACCUPRO 72079445 is a 6-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) mill diameter and a 0.0900 inch corner radius, this tool delivers controlled edge blending and reduced stress concentrations at corners. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-heat cutting environments. A variable helix and variable index geometry minimize chatter and vibration, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working with difficult-to-machine alloys.
This end mill is engineered for milling high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar aerospace and industrial materials. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inch overall length suit it for moderate-depth profiling, contouring, and slotting operations on CNC machining centers. Center cutting capability allows plunge entry. The HS series designation indicates a high-strength application focus suitable for production and job-shop environments where tool life and finish quality are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit end mill for CNC machining centers accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank, with primary application in high-temperature alloy and aerospace material milling programs.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 3/8 inch shank diameter and confirm runout before cutting. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the tool. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for maximum RPM and feed rates appropriate to solid carbide tooling in high-temperature alloys.
