The ACCUPRO 72079155 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built with a 6-flute configuration and a variable helix and variable index geometry, this end mill reduces chatter and improves surface finish at aggressive feed rates. The AlTiN+ coating provides high heat resistance, making it well-suited for cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. At 0.375 inches in diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut and 3.5-inch overall length, this tool fits standard 3/8-inch collets and tool holders. It is a single-end, center-cutting design with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and fine surface quality are required. Its primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S), covering nickel-based, cobalt-based, and titanium alloys commonly found in aerospace, power generation, and medical component machining. The 0.020-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentrations at the base of milled features. It is packaged individually and sold as a single unit.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch collets, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (S), per the supplier specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the collet nut according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on this style of high-flute-count tool.
