The ACCUPRO 72078264 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built with a 0.375-inch (3/8 inch) mill diameter, six flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating, it delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in aggressive cutting conditions. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during the cut, improving surface finish and tool stability. With a corner radius of 0.090 inches, it produces controlled edge breaks and blends on machined features. This tool is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers and milling machines.
This end mill is engineered for cutting high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials common in aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting suits standard spindle configurations. The 1.25-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth peripheral and slot milling applications in tight setups.
Designed for use in CNC milling applications targeting high-temperature alloys (ANSI material group S), including nickel superalloys and titanium. Fits standard 3/8-inch toolholders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit holders with a 0.375-inch bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 0.375-inch shank in a properly sized collet, hydraulic, or shrink-fit holder to the manufacturer-specified clamping depth before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Always confirm tool projection and clearances against the workpiece and fixture before initiating the program.
