The ACCUPRO 72076573 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 3/8-inch (0.3750 inches) mill diameter, 6 flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating, this tool is built to handle the elevated heat and abrasion associated with cutting high-temperature alloys. The 0.0100-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce chatter and harmonic vibration, producing cleaner surface finishes at higher feed rates. Machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical, and oil-and-gas applications will find this tool suited to tight-tolerance work in difficult materials.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where high-temp alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and cobalt-chrome are the primary workpiece material. The 1-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length make it practical for moderate-depth slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its usefulness in pocketing applications. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed for use with high-temperature alloys (Material Code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. Fits standard 3/8-inch tool holders and collets.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a precision collet or end mill holder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer before running. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before engaging the tool. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use; solid carbide tools can fracture if run with damaged geometry.
