The ACCUPRO 72072036 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials, including high-temperature alloys. The tool measures 0.375 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length. It features a variable helix and variable index geometry, a 6-flute configuration, and an AlTiN+ coating for extended tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. Single-end construction with a right-hand cutting direction and centercutting capability make it a versatile choice for both slotting and profiling operations in CNC machining environments.
This end mill is engineered for use in aerospace, power generation, and industrial machining applications where high-temp alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and cobalt-chrome are common workpiece materials. The 0.010-inch corner radius reduces edge chipping and stress concentration at the cutting tip, making it well suited for finish milling passes on complex part geometries. Machinists and CNC operators working with tight tolerances on exotic materials will find the variable helix design helps manage harmonics and reduce chatter during extended cuts.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard 3/8-inch collets or tool holders. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (material code S), consistent with nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and similar materials.
This tool should be installed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians using a properly balanced tool holder and collet matched to the 0.375-inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to maximize tool life and surface finish quality. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when working with high-temp alloys.
