The ACCUPRO 72064843 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 5/16-inch (0.3125 inches) mill diameter and six flutes, it delivers smooth cutting action and efficient chip evacuation. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature alloy applications. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts. This tool is single-end, right-hand cut, and center-cutting, making it suitable for both plunge and peripheral milling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this end mill for tight-tolerance work in aerospace, defense, and energy sector components.
This end mill is suited for milling high-temperature alloys (Material Code: S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring in CNC machining centers. The 3/4-inch length of cut and 2-1/2-inch overall length make it appropriate for medium-depth passes in both roughing and finishing operations. The 0.0200-inch corner radius adds edge strength and reduces the risk of chipping at the cutting edge, which is critical when working in tough materials with high cutting forces.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 5/16-inch (0.3125-inch) shank diameter. Optimized for primary workpiece material category S, which includes high-temperature alloys such as nickel and titanium-based materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following established CNC tooling procedures. Ensure the toolholder is clean and within runout tolerance before seating the shank to the correct insertion depth. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut parameters are set for solid carbide tooling in high-temperature alloy material before running. Do not use this tool on manual mills without confirming the machine has sufficient rigidity and spindle precision for carbide end mills.
