The ACCUPRO 72053556 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, six flutes, and a 0.02 inch corner radius, it delivers fine surface finishes while maintaining edge integrity under load. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, making this tool well suited for cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce chatter and improve chip evacuation during aggressive cuts.
This end mill is intended for precision machining operations in aerospace, power generation, and industrial manufacturing environments where high-temp alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and similar materials are commonly machined. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length suit it for shallow-to-moderate depth passes on milling centers and CNC machining centers. It fits a standard 1/4 inch tool holder or collet. Machinists and CNC operators working with Series HS tooling will find this geometry appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed for use in standard 1/4 inch tool holders and collet systems on CNC milling machines. Primary workpiece material classification is high-temp alloy (material code S), consistent with ISO and industry designations for nickel-based and titanium alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling.
