The ACCUPRO 72039068 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. With a 0.75-inch (19.05 mm) mill diameter, 6 flutes, and a 3.25-inch length of cut, this tool delivers aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. The AlTiN+ coating provides enhanced heat resistance and tool life when working in high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during long-reach cuts. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for milling high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar aerospace-grade materials where heat generation and tool wear are primary concerns. The single-end configuration, straight shank, and 0.75-inch shank diameter allow direct toolholder mounting in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit systems. The 36-40 degree variable helix angle improves chip evacuation in deep-pocket and slot-milling operations. It is not centercutting-limited and supports plunge and ramping entries.
Designed for use with standard 3/4-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (S). Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting straight-shank end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's runout and torque specifications. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or coolant residue before seating. Confirm proper stick-out length to balance rigidity against reach requirements before beginning a cut. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling.
