The ACCUPRO 72031057 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built with a 3/4 inch diameter, six flutes, and a 0.25 inch corner radius, it delivers clean, radius-blended cuts in difficult-to-machine workpieces. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter, which is especially important in long-reach or difficult-to-fixture setups. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working in aerospace, medical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
The 72031057 is engineered primarily for high-temperature alloys, classified under workpiece material code S. This includes nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials common in aerospace and power generation applications. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth profiling, slotting, and contouring operations on CNC machining centers. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece material is high-temperature alloy (material code S), including nickel superalloys and titanium. Suitable for profiling, contouring, and slotting operations where corner radius blending is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Always confirm spindle direction matches the right-hand flute and cutting direction of this tool before engaging the workpiece. Follow all machine guarding and PPE requirements per shop safety standards when handling carbide cutting tools.
