The ACCUPRO 72030091 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 3/4-inch mill diameter, 6 flutes, and a 1-inch length of cut, this tool is engineered for rigidity and chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat resistance and oxidation protection, extending tool life at high cutting speeds. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter, making it well-suited for aggressive cuts in aerospace and high-temp alloy components. Machinists and toolroom professionals working in production or job-shop environments install and run this tool on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is designed for primary use in high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-base, cobalt-base, and titanium alloys commonly found in aerospace, power generation, and medical manufacturing. The 0.19-inch corner radius adds edge strength and reduces stress concentrations at the cutting corner, which is critical when working with tough, work-hardening materials. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The center-cutting capability allows plunge entry, expanding application flexibility for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations.
Designed for machining high-temperature alloys (ACCUPRO Series HS) in CNC milling applications. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (material code S). Shank diameter is 3/4 inch, compatible with standard ER, hydraulic, shrink-fit, and Weldon-style toolholders of the same bore size.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the end mill. Runout should be verified with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Cutting parameters including spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut should be set per the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific workpiece material and toolholder type.
