The ACCUPRO 72027360 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in high-temperature alloy applications. The 0.75-inch diameter tool features a 6-flute geometry with a 0.09-inch (2.28 mm) corner radius, variable helix, and variable index design that reduces chatter and improves surface finish at aggressive feed rates. An AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection, extending tool life when cutting nickel, titanium, and other superalloys at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is single-end, right-hand cut, and center-cutting, making it suitable for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in aerospace, defense, and energy sectors are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where high-temperature alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, and similar S-category materials are the primary workpiece. The 3.25-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length support deep-pocket and long-reach applications where a standard-length tool would fall short. The 0.75-inch shank diameter mates directly with standard ER or hydraulic toolholders in that bore size. Applications span aerospace structural components, turbine hardware, and oil-and-gas downhole parts where tight tolerances and hard materials are the norm.

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 0.75-inch shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or hydraulic chuck and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce surface finish quality on superalloy workpieces. Follow the cutting tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for AlTiN-coated carbide in high-temperature alloy — do not extrapolate from steel or aluminum parameters.
