The ACCUPRO 72026388 is a 6-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built with an AlTiN+ coating and a 0.625-inch diameter, this single-end tool delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance when cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult workpiece materials. The corner radius measures 0.090 inches, providing edge strength and reducing chipping at the cutting edge. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy in production environments. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in aerospace, medical, and energy manufacturing applications.
This end mill is suited for milling high-temperature alloys, including nickel-based superalloys and titanium, where heat resistance and edge integrity are critical. The 1.25-inch length of cut and 3.5-inch overall length position it for medium-depth slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on vertical or horizontal machining centers. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations. The 0.625-inch shank fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in production shops.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 0.625-inch bore toolholders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S).
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be at a full stop and the tool changer in a safe state before mounting or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or toolholder system to secure the shank; consult the toolholder manufacturer specifications for clamping force. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cutting operation.
