The ACCUPRO 72023799 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It carries a 5/8-inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter, six flutes, and a 3/4-inch length of cut, making it well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge integrity and tool life are critical. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat resistance and lubricity at the cutting edge. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic chatter, improving surface finish consistency. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC vertical or horizontal milling centers.
This end mill is engineered specifically for cutting high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-base, cobalt-base, and titanium alloys commonly encountered in aerospace and energy-sector component machining. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The 3-inch overall length and 5/8-inch shank diameter suit standard ER or end mill holders found in most production milling environments. No extended reach configuration is present, keeping the tool compact for rigid setups.
Designed for use in CNC milling operations on high-temperature alloys (ANSI material group S), including nickel, cobalt, and titanium-based materials. Accepts standard 5/8-inch end mill holders or collet chucks.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating in the holder, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant application when machining high-temperature alloys.
