The ACCUPRO 72021777 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance machining in demanding materials. The tool measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 3.25-inch length of cut and a 0.03-inch corner radius, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge integrity matters. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat resistance and hardness, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature workpiece materials. Six flutes with variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during deep-cavity cuts. This is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute, single-end tool intended for professional CNC machining environments.
This end mill is designed primarily for milling high-temperature alloys (ANSI material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar hard-to-machine materials common in aerospace, power generation, and advanced manufacturing work. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding versatility on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers. With a 0.75-inch shank diameter matching the cutting diameter, the tool seats securely in standard ER or side-lock holders. The 6-inch overall length provides reach for deeper pockets without requiring extended-reach toolholders in most setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with 3/4-inch toolholding systems. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S). Part of the ACCUPRO HS series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly given the close corner radius tolerance on this tool.
