The ACCUPRO 72018385 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter and a 0.030 inch corner radius, this single-end tool delivers controlled edge geometry suited to tight-tolerance work. The 6-flute configuration with variable helix and variable index geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish at aggressive feed rates. An AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting at elevated temperatures. The overall length is 3.0 inches with a 1.25 inch length of cut. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers install this tool in milling centers handling aerospace, power generation, and turbine component work.
This end mill is engineered primarily for high-temperature alloys, designated workpiece material code S. That covers nickel-based superalloys, titanium, cobalt-chrome, and similar materials that generate high cutting temperatures and place heavy loads on tool edges. The variable helix and variable index design break up harmonic resonance that commonly occurs when milling these tough materials at depth. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional profiling and slotting operations. This tool is a fit for CNC machining centers running four- and five-axis programs on aerospace and medical components.
Designed for use in CNC milling centers accepting a 0.25 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder. Primary workpiece material designation is High-Temp Alloy (material code S), including nickel superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome alloys. Part of the ACCUPRO HS series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 0.25 inch shank in a precision collet or hydraulic toolholder rated for the intended spindle speed; verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for high-temp alloy applications; do not exceed the rated depth of cut for this flute count and diameter.
