The ACCUPRO 71176606 is a diamond pattern router bit designed for precision cutting in composite and thermoset materials. Built from solid carbide with a bright, uncoated finish, this end mill style bit delivers consistent chip evacuation and dimensional accuracy in demanding shop and fabrication environments. The 0.125 inch cutter diameter pairs with a 1 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length, making it well suited for detail work and controlled plunge or profile passes. Licensed machinists, fabricators, and CNC operators working with laminate and composite assemblies are the primary users of this bit.
This bit is optimized for cutting fiberglass and phenolic materials, where conventional high-speed steel tooling wears rapidly. The diamond pattern geometry helps manage the abrasive nature of these substrates by distributing cutting load and reducing heat buildup at the tip. It is commonly used in CNC router applications for panel trimming, slotting, and edge profiling on fiberglass laminates, phenolic boards, and similar composites in industrial fabrication, electronics enclosure work, and specialty millwork. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is standard for smaller CNC spindle collets and trim router chucks.
Designed for use with fiberglass and phenolic materials. Compatible with CNC routers and trim routers equipped with a 1/8 inch collet. Verify spindle speed and feed rate recommendations for the specific substrate before use.
This bit is installed by a machinist or CNC operator using the appropriate collet and torque procedure per the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the bit. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for chips or runout before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and may fracture if subjected to lateral shock or improper clamping. Appropriate eye protection and dust collection are required when machining fiberglass or phenolic materials due to abrasive particulate.
