The ACCUPRO 63310361 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit sized to wire gauge number 52, with a decimal diameter of 0.0635 inches. It features a 140-degree notched point angle for fast penetration and reduced thrust in hard materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and tool life during high-speed drilling operations. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.456-inch flute length, this bit is built for precise, small-diameter drilling in metals and other demanding materials. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance trades requiring tight-tolerance hole sizing.
This drill bit is suited for small-diameter precision drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where standard high-speed steel tooling falls short. The straight-cylindrical shank with a diameter of 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. The web-thinned, parallel-web construction reduces walking and improves chip evacuation. Typical applications include production drilling, fixture fabrication, and maintenance work requiring consistent hole quality in tight-tolerance assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style precision drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.125 inch straight-cylindrical shank, suitable for benchtop drill presses, CNC drilling centers, and hand-held power tools with compatible collets.
This bit should be installed and operated by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is clean and properly tightened before use, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage from runout or improper clamping. Power down the machine completely before inserting or removing the bit. Avoid impact or side-loading, which can fracture solid carbide at small diameters.
