The ACCUPRO 63310312 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in hard and abrasive materials. Ground from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it handles elevated cutting temperatures better than standard HSS tooling. The 140-degree notched point reduces thrust and self-centers on entry, minimizing walk on flat and curved surfaces. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.879-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and metalworking professionals who need consistent, repeatable results in hardened or abrasive workpiece materials.
This drill bit is sized at 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch decimal) with a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. It is used in ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking applications, including production machining, maintenance and repair operations, and fabrication shops. The regular spiral flute and web-thinned, parallel-web configuration promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting resistance. Maximum recommended drilling depth is 0.700 inch. Coolant-through capability is not supported on this bit, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is the standard practice when drilling deep features or hard alloys.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style jobber drill bit for use in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools equipped with a chuck that accepts a 3/16-inch straight shank.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or metalworking technician familiar with proper feeds, speeds, and workholding practices. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling to prevent movement and tool breakage. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to interrupted cuts or side loading beyond what the tool geometry is rated for. Apply cutting fluid externally when drilling deep features or hard alloys to manage heat at the cutting edge.
