The ACCUPRO 63310007 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It carries a No. 3 wire gauge size, corresponding to 0.2130 inches in decimal diameter, and features a 140-degree notched point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 1.0650-inch flute length. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance professionals working on production drilling applications.
This jobber drill bit is built for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment where a straight-cylindrical shank is compatible. The 0.25-inch straight shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. The regular spiral flute with a 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio evacuates chips efficiently in short-to-medium depth holes. Maximum recommended drilling depth is 0.8500 inches. The web-thinned, parallel web configuration reduces thrust requirements and improves chip flow at the cutting tip. Typical applications include drilling ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast materials in both job shop and production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling option for applications requiring a No. 3 wire size (0.2130 inch) solid carbide jobber drill bit with a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a compatible drill chuck or collet rated for the 0.25-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Solid carbide bits are brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the workpiece material to avoid premature tool failure.
