The ACCUPRO 63309827 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding shop and field applications. It runs a wire gauge size 16, which equals 0.1770 inches in decimal, and features a 140-degree notched point angle for fast, accurate starts with minimal walking. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting through hardened steels, stainless alloys, and abrasive materials. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a flute length of 0.885 inches and a maximum drilling depth of 0.710 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inch in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks.
This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die techs, and metalworking tradespeople working on CNC machines, drill presses, or hand-held power drills where tight tolerances and finish quality matter. The regular spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole operations. Web-thinned, parallel-web construction reduces thrust load at the cutting tip, which is especially useful when drilling higher-strength ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Right-hand cut direction matches standard right-hand spindle rotation on most production and manual drilling equipment.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style jobber-length drill bit suitable for use in standard drill chucks and collets that accept a straight-cylindrical 3/16 inch diameter shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople following established shop safety practices. Secure the shank fully in the drill chuck or collet before operating, and verify spindle speed matches the recommended cutting data for the workpiece material and bit diameter. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so apply cutting fluid externally when required by the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace the bit if chipping or edge wear is observed.
