The ACCUPRO 62760863 is a taper length, spiral flute drill bit engineered for demanding precision drilling applications. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this bit delivers excellent heat resistance and wear life in hard and abrasive materials. It features a 140-degree split-point geometry that reduces walking and improves centering on entry. The drill diameter is 0.1285 inches (Wire Size 30), with a flute length of 1.124 inches and an overall length of 3.189 inches. A straight shank with a 4 mm shank diameter makes it compatible with standard chucks and collet systems. Coolant-through capability supports high-efficiency metal removal in production environments.
This bit is suited for precision drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temp alloys commonly encountered in machining, fabrication, and maintenance operations. Designed as an OEM-style taper length drill bit for use in standard straight-shank chuck and collet systems accepting a 4 mm shank diameter, compatible with CNC and manual drilling equipment configured for Wire Size 30 (0.1285 inch) diameter tooling.
Install in a clean, properly sized chuck or collet and torque to the equipment manufacturer specification before use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or inspecting tooling. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the spindle and toolholder support internal coolant delivery before engaging the coolant supply. Inspect the cutting edge and coating for wear or chipping before each use; a damaged carbide edge should not be run.
