The ACCUPRO 62760764 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. It features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch decimal) diameter with a 140-degree point angle and spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves hardness and heat resistance at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. With a straight shank and through-coolant capability, this drill is suited for CNC machining centers and drill presses where coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone is required. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is built for taper length applications where a longer reach is needed compared to a jobber-length drill, without sacrificing rigidity. The 0.957 inch flute length and 2.992 inch overall length (OAL) make it well-suited for through-hole and blind-hole operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The through-coolant design supports high-speed, high-feed drilling cycles common in production machining environments. It is part of the ACCUPRO series, designed for consistent performance in tight-tolerance work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide taper length drill bit for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar setups using straight-shank toolholders or collet chucks that accept a 7/64 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the straight shank is fully seated and clamped to the specified runout tolerance of the toolholder before operation. Through-coolant connections should be verified for proper seal and flow rate before initiating a drilling cycle. Do not exceed the bit manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
