The ACCUPRO 586533 is a DA180 series double angle collet designed for use in DA-style collet chucks on milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual mills. It accepts a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inches decimal) tool shank and provides secure, concentric clamping for end mills, drills, and reamers during cutting operations. The collet measures 1.637 inches overall length and 1.035 inches overall diameter. The double angle design delivers clamping force across two contact surfaces, improving grip and reducing tool pullout under cutting loads. Machinists and toolroom technicians install these collets as part of DA180 toolholding setups in production and job-shop environments.
This collet is intended for use in DA180-compatible collet chucks found in vertical milling and light-duty CNC machining applications. It is suited for holding small-diameter cutting tools in the 7/64 inch range. Typical applications include precision drilling, light end milling, and reaming operations where accurate tool concentricity is required. The collet is sold individually and is appropriate for both production floor and toolroom use.
Designed as a direct-fit collet for DA180-style collet chucks accepting 7/64 inch shank tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before installing or removing the collet, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is clear of the work area. Use the appropriate DA180 collet nut and spanner wrench to seat and torque the collet nut per the chuck manufacturer's guidelines. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or damage before each use to maintain tool concentricity.
